Batik style poster Box Hill College of Kuwait asked me to design a poster for a workshop in Batik style. The brife: Design a poster size A3 and A2. It should be quite simple, include a Batik style illustration and should also include workshop info and contact details. Batik workshop is amazing for students to spend it in universal time. Batik is simple ideas of wax resist in water (or dye) appealed to me and to my delight; that students could use batik to create wonderful designs and colorful patterns. Students could control the application of wax with different tools, painting, drawing and spattering it – and I could apply dyes with a brush or by dipping waxed paper or fabric in a dye bath. Batik is real fun.
